She may not have won Miss Universe, but 24-year-old Sarah Archer’s hair has been a gleaming success in the nationwide contest.
The Dagenham model, who was among 40 finalists in the beauty pageant GB final in Cardiff last weekend, said she was relieved to have missed out on the top prize.
“It’s quite nice to have won something, and there’s less pressure on me now,” said Sarah, who won best hair award and a year-long brand ambassadorship for Rotana Salon
“I can still work and dedicate some of my time to my charities but I won’t be a full-on Miss Universe.”
The model and actress, who moved to the borough earlier this year with her family, has a degree in International Relations and is passionate about her work with British Heart Foundation, Sue Ryder, the British Army and Comic Relief.
“Pageants are very important because they continuously build confidence and challenge woman in many ways. I want to thank all the organisers for a successful three days of empowering woman,” she added.
