SANTA and his helpers gave out tips on how to recycle all that wrapping paper this Christmas in two road-shows held last week.

With festive cheer waste officers from the council braved the winter chill to tell shoppers at The Mall, Heathway and Vicarage Fields, Barking, about the importance of recycling.

Reusable bags and loads of advice were given out by officials dressed in Santa hats.

So on Boxing Day put your cards and wrapping paper in to orange bags, put wine bottle in the blue box and bring your real Christmas tree to Frizlands centre in Rainham Road North.
