Disabled mentors celebrated being able to help their peers at a buzzing launch on Friday.
Nine peer support brokers can now write and review support plans for anyone in the borough with a care budget, after being the first to complete the open college network accreditation with the Independent Living Agency.
Handing out certificates to the students at Barking Town Hall, Cllr Darren Rodwell said he was “really proud to see this project moving forward”.
