A new outdoor gym offering Barking and Dagenham residents the chance to work out for free was officially opened.
The Adizone, in Central Park, Dagenham, boasts a selection of weight resistant gym equipment, including a cross trainer, treadmill and hand bike.
It was installed by the Great Outdoor Gym Company as part of its London 2012 programme to set up 60 outdoor gyms across the country, leaving a lasting legacy after the games.
To mark the opening of the Central Park gym a sports day was held today and deputy council leader Rocky Gill cut the ribbon.
An Adizone was installed at Mayesbrook Park last year and was opened by British rower Tom James, who together with his team mates won an Olympic gold medal in the coxless four race on August 4.
