A TEENAGE driver pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident in which a boy was knocked off his bike.

Chloe Williamson, 19, was driving down Church Elm Lane, Dagenham on September 10 when her car collided with cyclist Ricky Clark.

As Ricky, who was 16 at the time, lay injured on the ground Williamson, of Ingleby Road, Dagenham, drove off. Later that day she handed herself in to the police and was subsequently arrested.

An ambulance took Ricky to Queens Hospital in Romford, where his badly broken leg was operated on.

As reported in the POST, his mum Keeleigh and sister Louise happened to already be at the hospital when he arrived. Keeleigh had been admitted earlier that day because of an injury sustained in a fall and his sister was there to get a scan of her unborn baby.

Ricky has since had more surgery, and still has trouble walking.

At Barking Court last week Williamson was fined £250 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £200 compensation. She was disqualified from driving for six months.
