A section of the A12 is closed in Chadwell Heath after an ambulance crashed with a car.
Police were called at 11.38am following the collision on the A12 at the junction with Whalebone Lane North.
Paramedics are on the scene.
Traffic is queuing into Moby Dick because of the accident and Mawney Road is also affected.
A section of the A12 westbound remains closed because of an oil spillage.
Transport for London (TFL) and London Streets Traffic Control are at the scene to make the road safe.
