THE Ice Age heroes are back for a third adventure.
Scrat is still trying to nab the ever-elusive nut; Manny and Ellie await the birth of their mini-mammoth; Sid the sloth creates his own makeshift family after finding some dinosaur eggs; and Diego the saber-toothed tiger wonders if he's growing too "soft" hanging with his pals.
On a mission to rescue the hapless Sid, the gang ventures into a mysterious underground world, where they have some close encounters with dinosaurs, battle flora and fauna which has run amok - and meet a relentless, one-eyed, dino-hunting weasel named Buck.
ICE AGE: DAWN OF THE DINOSAURS (U) has the added magic of 3D.
"We have become so familiar with the characters over the years, that we really care about them and want them to succeed, whatever changes they're undergoing," says co-writer Peter Ackerman.
