ILFORD Golf Club's Leslie Woods' team prepared for the forthcoming county competition by beating The Warren, the team that knocked them out of the competition last year.
The fixture this time was played at Ilford and the hosts gained some revenge by defeating The Warren by eight-and-a-half to three-and-a-half.
The Mother's Day Medal was won by Ilford committee member Ian Morgan, with a net score of 62.
Runner-up in the First Division was Bobby Golding, also with a score of 62, but losing out on countback.
Division Two was won with a score of 61 by Ilford's vice-captain, Dave Curran, beating John Elliott, who finished with a net 63, into second.
