ONE of the most successful and beloved shows in musical theatre history, seen by almost 50 million people all over the world, Les Miserables has been specially adapted for young performers to an abridged running time of just over two hours.
And it is brought to the Kenneth More Theatre on Wednesday next week by Ilford Operatic and Dramatic Society's youth group.
This musical adaptation of Victor Hugo's humanitarian classic shows the triumph of the human spirit amidst the social and political struggles of 19th century France.
The passionate tale of one man's determined survival in the face of relentless persecution is told against a backdrop of a nation in the grip of revolution.
The show at the theatre in Oakfield Road, Ilford, runs until Saturday, March 7.
