»Barking’s Broadway Theatre has announced its festive pantomime for 2013 – Jack and the Beanstalk.
The classic tale will be produced by Polka Dot Pantomines, who appeared on BBC 2’s Dragons’ Den last year.
They impressed judges with their drive and enthusiasm to produce pantos which entertain audiences of all ages.
The production, featuring plenty of audience participation, will see hero Jack take a magical journey to Giant Blunderbore’s Castle in the Sky where he’ll take on the evil Poison Ivy.
Barking and Dagenham’s new mayor, Cllr Hardial Singh Rai, said: “I am delighted that Polka Dot Pantomimes is producing the council’s pantomime at The Broadway this Christmas and am sure it will be a great success.
“I encourage people to book early.”
The panto will run for 56 performances between November 28 and January 4 next year.
As usual the Broadway is offering an Early Bird deal with a saving of £1 on every ticket if booked by October 31.
Last year’s panto, Cinderella sold more than 10,000 tickets and was streamed live on the internet.
