THIS Sunday the streets of Dagenham will be filled with scores of Santas who will dash, suited, booted and bearded across the borough for a good cause.

It is that time of year when hundreds of kindhearted Barking & Dagenham families take part in the POST-backed Leukaemia Care Santathon fun run, and this year they will be joined by hundreds of supporters of St Francis Hospice in Havering.

The run, which has become as popular as mince pies and mulled wine, began in 2007.

It starts and ends at the Daggers' home ground in Victoria Road at 11am on Sunday December 6.

Anyone can take part, and depending on how much money you raise, you could be in with the chance to win a mysterious prize.

You can register at the Dagenham & Redbridge stadium on the day. Santa suits are free with the entry fee.

There will be a picture gallery of all the runners right here on www.bdpost.co.uk as well as in next week's POST.
