Dagenham’s Irish dancers jigged their way to victory at the south Essex championships on Saturday.
Competitors from the Jordan Academy of Irish Dance brought home 31 first place medals and championship places at the contest in the Civic Hall in Grays.
Star performers included Alfie Jordan, aged seven, Chloe Jordan, 10, and Arianna McKenzie, 14, who walked away with wins in their respective age groups.
The academy’s motto is ‘A dream works if a team works,’ as shown by the great support of the teachers who went down to help their students.
Principal Julie Fisher said: “The dedication and determination these dancers have is second to none.
“We are now full on with fundraising events as we are hosting the All England Championships on November 18-19.”
