Cyclists on a Sky Ride tour


Dust off your helmet and saddle up for a chance to explore the borough by bike.

Cyclists can join British Cycling riders along scenic routes through Chadwell Heath and Dagneham Heathway as part of the Sky Ride guided tours.

There are rides to cater for all abilities and age groups, including for those seeking out more of a challenge,

Double Olympic Champion cyclist Jason Kenny, OBE said: ‘Cycling is a fantastic way to stay fit and healthy, plus its lots of fun too.”

Robert McLean, London recreation manager for British Cycling, said: “We’ve planned some of the best routes around the borough and it’s great to see Barking and Dagenham from the view of a saddle.

“If you’ve not been on a bike for a while don’t worry, our friendly and experienced ride leaders are there to help and support you.”

The first ride will take place on Sunday, June 2, and will continue throughout the summer.
