A MURDER victim's family and friends are holding a charity clairvoyant night to raise money for a good cause.

Pam Trott, sister-in-law of David Trott, who was stabbed to death at his house, will be one of the mediums on stage at the Fanshawe Community Centre, Barnmead Road, Dagenham, on Wednesday night.

Together with three other mediums, she hopes to attract a large crowd in a bid to raise money for the air ambulance team who tried to save Mr Trott's life.

Mr Trott, 52, was knifed to death by his friend Gary Cartwright in his home in Charlecote Road, Dagenham, during a row on March 9.

Cartwright, 53, of Lillechurch Road, Dagenham, was jailed for life last month after admitting murder and will have to serve at least 10 years and nine months behind bars.

Pam said: "His death means a lot to us because he has three children and eight grandchildren.

"We want to help and to pay back for the help that was given to him.

"The air ambulance does a lot of good work, but it costs a lot of money.

"It's just tragic that the grandchildren won't have a grandad. The whole family was shaken by it."

Mr Trott's daughters Lisa, 33, Kelly, 31, and Kelly, 29, are expected to be there.

The other mediums on stage will be Loraine Rees, Jeff Phillips and Mike Matthews.

The Candle of Light Spiritual Church takes place at the Fanshawe Community Centre every Wednesday.

Pam, who has been involved with clairvoyance for 37 years, said: "These are uplifting events. The whole thing is very healing."

There will also be a raffle, lucky dip and refreshments.

Entry costs 5 and all proceeds will go to the Essex Air Ambulance.
