A CARING insurance company held a mini indoor Olympic event to help raise money for foundering children's charity, Haven House.

Employees from Lark Insurance in Wakering Road, Barking, had lots of fun dressed in pyjamas last week.

The sponsored indoor Olympic challenge went well with staff raising a total of £1,200 for the hospice.

Haven House announced last month that it needed to raise £500,000 or it would have to close.

Since then many businesses from around the area have stepped in to stop it happening.

Lark Insurance held a day-long event where family, friends and co-workers were invited to sponsor them as they attempted to do sports in their PJs.

Employee, Lauren Smith said: "It was a great day. Everyone really enjoyed themselves.

"If only we could come to work every Friday dressed in our pyjamas.

"It would give whole new meaning to dress down Friday!
