ILFORD'S Race Walking Association's statistics for 2008 released this week saw international distance walker Kevin Marshall top the rankings having covered a whopping 932,962m in competition during the calendar year.
Also in the top-20 in terms of distance covered, is Stephen Crane in 11th with 406,987m under his belt. Olly Browne in 13th with 406,987metres behind him and captain Dave Sharpe in 19th with 352,659m.
In the number of actual appearances, Ilford have two members in the top 20, courtesy of Sharpe and Crane, who are eighth and ninth respectively after finishing 38 and 36 races during the year.
Team-wise Ilford are joint eighth with Surrey Walking Club, with a combined total of 259 recorded completions from all members.
