Plans to strip a rogue wine merchant of his licence have been postponed.
Green Lane Food and Wine boss Rashid Hussain sold white wine that had turned red and cigarette papers without health warnings last summer.
He told trading standards he had inherited the wine from a previous owner and the cigarette papers with no UK health warnings from a travelling salesman.
The Dagenham shopkeeper faced being given a six-week suspension last month but the matter has been adjourned to a council meeting due to take place on November 13.
