Hundreds are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Olympic Flame at Barking Park.
The first torchbearer is to arrive within minutes where the Flame will take a ride on the miniature railway before heading off to the Dagenham Town Show at Central Park, Dagenham, via Mayesbrook Park.
Tony Richards, 75, of the Friends of Barking Park, said: “The railway company feels very privileged to have been appointed to carry the torch.”
The relay will carry on into Lodge Avenue, Dagenham, ending at Central Park in Wood Lane where members of Diversity will varry it into the 60th Dagenham Town Show where thousands are expected to gather.
