NEWHAM boxer Luke Turner helped a London team clinch a 4-3 triumph against the Tyne&Wear opposition at York Hall on Saturday when he outpointed Joe Whitfield.
It was a winning return to action for Turner who earlier boxed in the colours of the West Ham and Peacock clubs before moving to Repton BC.
His southpaw punches proved too much for his willing rival as he took the points verdict to help the team win in the Ricky Hatton belt tournament.
