WEST HAM misfit Nigel Quashie has joined MK Dons on a six-week loan, but it seems that the Hammers will still not get him off the wage bill.

The 31-year-old Scot-tish international has not played in claret and blue for two and a half years - in the 4-3 defeat by Spurs in April 2007.

Manager Gianfranco Zola has kept him away from the trainng ground, and his number does not even appear on the back of the match-day programme as he continues to be the forgotten man of Upton Park.

Quashie will go to Paul Ince's side, initially until January 3, but it seems the Milton Keynes outfit will not be stumping up for his wages, said to be as much as 30,000 a week.
