Man arrested after Barking three-car crash

A 26-year-old man has been arrested following a crash involving three cars in Barking last night.

Police officers, firefighters and ambulance crews were called to the junction of Wilmington Gardens and Longbridge Road at 7.50pm, to reports of a collision.

The driver of one of the vehicles made off before officers arrived, but he was later found and arrested for failing to stop at the scene of an accident, and driving whilst intoxicated.

Another man was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Queen’s Hospital, Romford.
