POLICE are searching for witnesses after a man was violently assaulted outside a pub. The 22-year-old victim had been drinking at the Cherry Tree in Wood Lane, Dagenham, earlier that night. It was around 12.30am on Sunday February 1 when the man was att

POLICE are searching for witnesses after a man was violently assaulted outside a pub.

The 22-year-old victim had been drinking at the Cherry Tree in Wood Lane, Dagenham, earlier that night.

It was around 12.30am on Sunday February 1 when the man was attacked and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance.

He was treated at Queen's hospital, Romford, for non life-threatening injuries and later released.

Investigating officers want to speak to anyone who heard an argument in the Cherry Tree pub that night or saw the assault outside the bar.
