A driver was punched in the face as he waited at traffic lights in an apparent road rage attack on the A13.

The victim was sitting in a white BMW at the Goresbrook interchange in Dagenham at around 12 noon on June 2 when the assault took place.

Just before the incident the man had sounded his horn at the suspect, who was driving a silver BMW, because he had cut in front of him.

After the attack the suspect drove off along Ripple Road, towards Rainham.

Police are appealing for witnesses. Call PC John Sinclair on 0203 276 1047 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
