Police were called to a disturbance on Padnall Road in Dagenham


Police were called to a disturbance where they found that a man had been stabbed in the street.

Paramedics treated the man in Padnall Road, Dagenham, on Sunday after police were called to the scene at about 5.40pm.

The victim was taken to an east London hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police officers spoke to the occupiers of an address who reported that someone had tried to break in to their home and had broken a window.

A 21-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of causing criminal damage.

A 17-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

Detectives from Dagenham CID are investigating.
