Man taken to hospital after car crash in Longbridge Road, Barking

A man was cut out of a car and taken to hospital after a crash in Longbridge Road, Barking.

The 52-year-old driver hit a central reservation by a set of pedestrian traffic lights at around 3.45pm today.

Firefighters cut part of the vehicle away to free the man. He was taken by ambulance to Queen’s Hospital suffering from back pain.

The road was temporarily closed.
