BARKING pupils donned fairy-tale costumes and sang their hearts out to play their part in the nationwide charity campaign Chatterbox Challenge.

The youngsters, from Manor Infants School in Sandringham Road, Barking, were sponsored to sing nursery rhymes non-stop for half an hour for the fundraising event, which took place on Wednesday, February 6.

The kids raised a fantastic £600 for the charity 'I CAN', which supports children who struggle to communicate.

Determined not to be left out, the teachers also took part by dressing up as fairy-tale characters.

While the fun was underway, the youngsters also learned to sign the words they were singing so that they could better understand what the children supported by I CAN go through on a daily basis.
