THE MAYOR urgently needs up to 12 players to join him for a fun charity ten pin bowling event tomorrow night.

The event will be held at Dagenham Bowling, Goresbrook Leisure Park, Ripple Road on the A13, from 7pm until about 10pm.

Mayor Fred Barns still needs a team to help him raise money for the National Holiday Fund for sick and disabled children after one group were forced to pull out at the last moment.

The charity organises holidays to Orlando, Florida, for groups of children aged between 8yrs and 18yrs.

It costs £100 to rent a lane for six to 12 people, which includes a running buffet all evening and a trophy for the winners.
