CLAPTON picked up their first Essex Senior League victory of the season on Saturday as two goals from Mfusa helped the Tons to a surprise win at Basildon.
The forward gave the Newham club the lead after just nine minutes and doubled their advantage with 15 minutes remaining.
Dan Hipgrave pulled a goal back for the hosts with minutes left, but the Tons held on for a fantastic victory.
They host Hullbridge Sports on Saturday in what should be an intriguing contest at the Old Spotted Dog.
London APSA meanwhile put up a brave fight, but lost at home to Witham Town.
The Newham club made the recently relegated Ryman League North side work hard for their win, with Stephen Joyce's 30th minute strike the only goal of the game.
They hope to return to winning ways this weekend when they make the trip to Bowers & Pitsea in the Essex Senior League.
