A 13-year-old boy who went missing from Dagenham last night has been found.

Charlie Trimmer had last been seen leaving his mum’s home in Fellowship Close at about 7pm, but was found at his girlfriend’s house in Purfleet, Thurrock, this afternoon.

It is believed he was heading for his dad’s house in Green Lane, but as family members became increasingly concerned, he was reported missing to the police.

Charlie’s aunt Chrissie Snell, 37, from Rainham, personally collected him from Essex and praised the public for their efforts.

“Thank you to everyone for all their support and participation in helping to find Charlie,” she told the Post.

“A big thanks must also go to the Post for helping our family in this desperate time. “We’re all delighted to have him home.”
