A missing father-of-three from Dagenham has been found alive and well, police told the Post.

Martin Carter returned to his home in Croppath Road “of his own accord” last Friday, said a Metropolitan Police spokesman.

His family appealed for his safe return earlier that day. They said they had not heard from the 31-year-old since he went missing late on Sunday, August 6.

Partner Toni Davis said there had been no problems at home, where he lives with his children, aged eight, 14 and 15.

“We didn’t have an argument,” she said at the time. “He said he was going for a box of cigarettes and we’ve heard nothing back.”

She added: “We aren’t sure what to do. We all just want him back at home with us.”

Martin was wearing a navy blue tracksuit with a black t-shirt and trainers when his family last saw him.
