East London Men picked up a win and a defeat in their two games at the weekend.
The Sparrowhawks, who were missing talsmanic skipper Kevin Taylor, edged past Harlow 3-2 on Saturday thanks to goals from Adam Larkin, Steve Canwell and Dan Hyden.
On Sunday, they went down to a 2-1 defeat against Brentwood, despite a goal from Chris Jones.
East London Ladies also slipped to defeat, losing 3-2 in an exciting clash against Chelmsford.
The Ladies scored through Esme Olive-Hobley's cool finish after beating the onrushing goalkeeper and Katie Irwin's powerful strike from the edge of the circle.
Unfortunately, it was not enough as Chelmsford scored three times to take the points.
