Police are appealing for information after a moped was stolen in a Dagenham robbery on Monday.

The owner of the vehicle was pushed from behind at about 4pm in Bonham Road, falling to the ground uninjured moments after starting the engine.

A man then jumped on the moped – a Gilera Runner 125, registration AE04 UCR – and made off towards Wood Lane.

The bike has distinctive blue and silver panelling and a blue alloy front wheel.

No arrests have yet been made, but enquiries continue.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
