A NUISANCE neighbour is paying the price after blasting her new stereo system so loud that she attracted noise abatement officers to her home.

Rita Turpin, of Martin Road, Dagenham, pleaded guilty to causing noise nuisance at Barking Court but claimed she was testing the bass on her new amplifier.

In total over 150 complaints were made against Turpin by angry families who had to suffer through her late night music sessions.

Magistrates fined her £100 for the offence and ordered her to pay £215 in court and council costs.
