Motorists face heavy delays on the A13 westbound through Dagenham this morning following a crash between a motorbike and a car.

The male motorcyclist was rushed to hospital after police and ambulance crews arrived at the Gorsebrook interchange at about 8am, but his situation is not thought to be serious.

Two lanes have now re-opened at the junction with the A1306 Ripple Road, but traffic is still queuing as far back as the Ferry Lane interchange.
