Motorcycle crash stalls traffic in both directions on A13 flyover in Barking

Commuters experienced delays this morning following a motorcycle collision that saw a man taken to hospital.

Traffic was held up in both directions along the A13 Lodge Avenue flyover, Barking, with queues tailing back to Movers Lane, as ambulance crews treated a man with a knee injury.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to Queen’s Hospital, Romford, following the incident which happened just before 7am.

Lanes were opened up again some 45 minutes later but shotly after a broken-down lorry caused further hold ups to commuters travelling eastbound along the A13 Marsh Way with traffic tailing back towards Lodge Avenue junction.
