NEWHAM'S Vallance under-nines took centre stage at Hornchurch FC last weekend as they captured the ELE cup with a nerve-jangling victory over Parkview on penalties.

Mustafa was the hero, striking his winning penalty sweetly into the top corner after both sides had missed from 12-yards.

In normal time, Vallance had all the early pressure, but Mehmet saw his goal disallowed, and Parkview took advantage to move ahead with a scrappy goal.

With the game nearing the end, Vallance finally forced extra time when Nadeem fired home through a crowd of players.
