NEWHAM-BORN defender Bondz N'Gala has joined Championship strugglers Plymouth Argyle on loan, with a view to a permanent deal.
The 20-year-old made his only first team appearance in claret and blue as a second-half substitute during the 3-1 Carling Cup defeat at Bolton earlier in the season.
He is seen as surplus to requirements as West Ham continue to cut their wage bill.
N'Gala is set to make his debut for the Pilgrims in the relegation showdown at Scunthorpe on Saturday after being an unused sub in their 3-2 victory over Bristol City on Tuesday night.
