Cach Mercer is a social media star and Love Island winner and will be swapping TikTok for the Strictly ballroom.
Strictly Come Dancing is returning for 2026 with the same judges we all know and love but new hosts Emma Willis, Josh Widdecombe, and Johannes Radebe.
Before you decide who you are rooting for in the new series, here is everything you need to know about Cach Mercer.
Who is Cach Mercer?
Cach was born in London and is a television personality, dancer, and model.
Before his television career took off, Cach had worked as a dancer specialising in hip hop and Afrobeats.
He regularly posted his dances on TikTok and has almost 50 million likes on the social media platform.
In 2022, he appeared on the British version of the MTV reality show Are You the One?
Cach then joined the 2025 cast of Love Island and was introduced in Casa Amor as one of the bombshells.
He coupled up with Toni Laites before they split to recouple with other Islanders.
The pair then reunited and went on to win the series with 33.5% of the public votes.

After winning the show, Cach has gone on to make appearances on This Morning and has become an ambassador for the mental health charity YoungMinds.
On joining the show, Cach said: “I have grown up watching the show with my family and am so excited to now be part of the cast.
“Dancing is a huge passion of mine and I can’t wait to learn Ballroom and do the Foxtrot for the first time!”
