The Parkinson's disease Society (PDS) officially launched a new branch in Barking and Dagenham, on Friday March 7.

People with Parkinson's and their families from the area have been meeting for the past eight years, offering each other support, information and advice.

Now they have decided to become an official PDS branch to ensure the long term future of this support offered on a local level.

The inauguration was at 2pm at The Red Cross, in Cambridge House, Barking.
