DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE goalkeeper Tony Roberts has agreed a one-year extension to his contract.
The 40-year-old Victoria Road favourite, who made his 450th appearance for the club during Tuesday night's 1-1 draw at Lincoln City, is showing no signs of slowing down and the new deal should see him top 500 games as a Dagger.
Manager John Still was delighted to extend the playing days of such an experienced member of his defence
"We're pleased with how he's going and we've agreed to carry on for next season," said the boss.
"He's a credit to the club and a credit to his profession. The thing with Tony is that he is a model of consistency, he doesn't make many mistakes and to reach 450 games is a great achievement.
"I also think he knows that in Chris Lewington, we have a very good goalkeeper in reserve, who is pushing him hard, so he needs to keep up his levels as it keeps him on his toes."
