The free event, called the Skyride, will see the city centre closed to traffic as thousands of cyclists take over the streets.
After leaving Barking riders, accompanied by marshals, will join the main cycle route which takes in landmarks such as Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and St Paul's Cathedral.
