No charges to use car park in Barking due to power cut

A power cut has resulted in drivers in Barking being given a surprise post-Christmas gift – free parking.

Motorists are able to park for free in London Road car park as the power surge means the ticket machines are not working.

However the charges will come back into play once the power returns.
