ORIENT have the chance of a dream tie in the Carling Cup.
The first round draw will be made next week and Orient, despite their 14th-placed finish last term, will not be seeded.
Seventy sides enter the competition at the first round stage, with Newcastle and Middlesbrough receiving byes as the highest placed clubs in last season's tables.
But the next 35 are seeded, with all the clubs as far down as Walsall, who ended up one place above the O's!
It means Orient will face either a side from the Championship, or the top half of League One when the draw is made next Tuesday, as O's look to progress to the second round for only the second time in seven seasons. Last year they crashed out 4-1 at Ipswich.
