Inspirational women will once again be celebrated at a Women’s Empowerment Awards night.

The awards night is back for the third year to honour the achievements of women who live and work in the borough later this year.

There will eight different categories, six of which are open for public nominations.

Cllr Sade Bright, cabinet member for equalities and cohesion, said: “Historically women have fought hard for equality and they now play an integral role in every sector of modern day society, but they are still unfortunately under-represented in many areas, which is why I am so proud that this council is leading the way with a month dedicated to them.”

Nominations are open tomorrow and close at 5pm on Monday, February, 13 - Visit to nominate.
