How on earth can the council justify this second exorbitant hike in parking charges, (Post February 25).
Just a couple of years ago it was hugely increased to the present �2.90 for 4 hours and the reason given was "to pay for maintenance of the car park".
I use that car park every week and have never seen any maintenance carried out and yet now they want to increase that to �4 for 4 hours. That is a complete rip-off, totally unwarranted and will drive people away, unfortunately typical of our local uncaring council.
