ORIENT gave a trial to Manchester City winger Karl Moore in Tuesday's reserve team game against Eastbourne Borough.
Moore, who is 21, joined City as a trainee, but has not featured for the first team.
He moved to Millwall on loan a year ago and made two league starts and four more appearances from the bench.
With Williams looking at new left-sided options, it may be that O's will not be able to extend the loan of winger Andros Townsend.
Spurs did not want him cup-tied and it seems he could be on his way back to the Premier League side.
Moore played the full 90 minutes, as did Adam Chambers as goals from Loick Pires (2) and Adrian Patulea (2) saw Orient to a 4-2 success.
