Paramedic attacked by 'patient'

A PARAMEDIC has been brutally attacked by the patient he was trying to help, and left lying unconscious in the road.

John Reed, 35, an emergency medical technician from Dagenham, was on duty when the London Ambulance Service was called to reports of a man collapsed in the street.

He made his way to Manor Close, Dagenham, at 10pm on December 6, where he saw the man lying on the ground.

He said: "I shook him by the shoulder, and he jumped up and started shouting abuse in my face.
