A charity shop has called on people to have a clear out to support sick and injured pets.

The Barking branch of animal charity PDSA in Station Parade called for donations of DVDs, saleable kitchen items, vases, pictures and ornaments.

Sarah Bargus, PDSA shop manager, said: “Why not have a clear out and donate your unwanted items? We’re appealing for all sorts of items including unwanted clothes, unused toiletries and paperback books.

“As well as de-cluttering your home, you’ll be helping a very worthy cause.”

Donations can be dropped off at the shop from Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm. The money raised goes towards paying PDSA-funded vets to treat sick and injured animals of people in need of financial support in the area.

For more information contact Sarah on 020 8507 8389. The PDSA does not provide a pick up service.
