The Handmade in Dagenham sale was held at Dagenham Library on Saturday and gave craftsmen and women from the borough a chance to exhibit and sell their wares.

The day also featured face painting and entertainment from the Dagenham Girl Pipers.

Kelly Smith, who was at the event with her company Sweet Cheeks Candy, wrote on Facebook: “It was a fantastic day. Such a brilliant community spirit with so many talented crafters and so many people turning up to be part of it.”

While the owner of Pretty Plaques and Marvellous Makes posted: “What a massively successful day. Handmade in Dagenham was great. I did very well, met so many lovely people and even had the Mayor of Barking and Dagenham come over and say he liked my batman dad plaque.”
