Police are appealing for witnesses after a car crashed into a house late last night.

Police officers and firefighters were called to Dagenham Heathway at 11.30pm to find a blue Ford Mondeo on its roof.

Both the driver and the passenger had fled the scene.

One of the men is described as white, 5ft 7 inches tall with brown hair and was wearing a beige and black tracksuit top and a blue body warmer.

No one in the house was injured during the crash.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information in relation to the driver or vehicle, is asked to call Barking and Dagenham police on 101.
